That's a tough one. If it's an rs-232 scanner they do make rs-232 to wireless adapters. You would need an rs-232 cable from your scanner to the wireless adapter, then a second wireless adapter to your host system. But there's one big problem with this. You need to provide power to the scanner somehow. So I don't think you really have an option. It looks like the rs-232 to wireless adapter pair is pretty expensive. Then throw on top of that some kind of system to get power to the scanner. You'd be better off just buying a bluetooth scanner from eBay. You can pick them up for well under $ 200.

After I wrote this I found a device at http://www.sumlung.com/en/barcode-adapter.html that apparently converts a corded barcode scanner into a bluetooth scanner.

My guess is the person that made this post is tied to that company. But what the heck. If you're not I'd say be careful if you decide to buy this thing. It seems like it won't last long. Typical Chinese engineering. Engineer it cheaply, pay your workers nothing to make it, include crappy instructions (if any at all) and then just ignore any requests for support. As I said in another post, I might just buy one and do a review of it on my website.
